ABOUT THE ARTIST
Maxime Roy is a digital artist born in 1995. Originally from Bordeaux, engineer, writer and photographer, he embodies a modern vision of photographing planet Earth from above.
Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s student, Maxime aspires to promote the beauty of natural and anthropogenic landscapes through human-size artworks.
Making art out of scientific photographs, thanks to aerial and satellite imagery, Maxime questions the relationship we have with maps on our phones. His work challenges our habits to perceive space around us.
Passionate about nature and history, he knows how to reveal the colors and show graphic patterns hidden in the surrounding places.
